This is a birthday present for a friend of mine. It's one of his oldest and best liked RPG characters, Ayrièn, and obviously an elf. I wanted this picture to become really really good, so I spent much time on details and background.

I like it

the clothing looks really nice and smooth and the squirrel is sweet!

though the grass background is a bit too smooth and would look more real with some more texture in it.
Also I think the skintones are a bit too yellow, but it's not very disturbing.

Yeah, it could use a bit more texture in it, but overall it has a really nice feel to it.

i think the entire picture could benefit from more detail
to make it less flat, like folds in the clothing a bit more
texture in the grass and maybe some shadeing in the
clouds...but as is,
its still very nice, and i like the detail u put in the squirell its cute

Nice colors and proportions...it can use more intermediate shadows and tones.

Thank you for the very helpful critique! Yes, I think you're entirely right, it could use still more details and texture, and I'll spend more time on these aspects in my next painting - this one has left me today for it's new owner.

I agree with the others. its a very nice painting with beautiful colors but it needs some subtle texture and color variatons
